The consultations confirmed the good relations between the two countries, which are very dynamic at all levels, particularly in the economy. The consultations addressed all areas of cooperation, and resulted in agreements on certain meetings at the expert level.
State Secretary Benčina emphasised Slovenia's support for EU enlargement in the Western Balkans and explained Slovenia's endeavours for rapid visa liberalisation. The coordination of the annual work plan (derived from the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Slovenian Foreign Ministry and the Foreign Ministry of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the area of EU affairs) confirmed Slovenia's readiness to assist Bosnia and Herzegovina in its efforts to join the EU.
